The Ministry of Finance today announced that it has temporarily banned the imports of 38 items including cars, alcoholic and soft drinks, chocolates, biscuits, food items such tuna and chicken, artificial hair and make ups.
The ministry has instructed commercial banks not to open letter of credit for the imports of the listed items as of Monday October 7, 2022.
