Ministry announces new fuel price rates

Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration (MoTRI) announced Wednesday a decision to hike fuel prices.

The new price adjustment has been effective as of Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Accordingly, the new price for Benzene price rose nearly 20% from 47.83 Birr to 57.05 Birr.

Under the new decision, the price of diesel was up by 22 % to 59.90 Birr, and Kerosene price went up to 59.90 Birr, the Ministry said in a statement.

Jet fuel and some sorts of diesel prices remain the same.

The Ministry’s latest petroleum products price hike came after two months.
