Addis Chamber’s 16th annual general meeting underway
The 16th Annual General Meeting of Addis Abeba Chamber of Commerce and Sectorial Associations (AACCSA) is underway today at Inter Luxury Hotel.
Annual performance reports of 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2021/22 have been presented by an independent auditor. The reports reviewed Auditor’s financial statements of the Chamber.
At the end of the Annual General Meeting, the assembly will elect AACCSA’s President, Vice President and members of the Board of Directors.
Mesenbet Shenkutie, AACCSA’s President has presented the achievements by the Chamber on her opening remark. She said that Addis Chamber has revised its organizational structure, strengthened its manpower and financial powers to provide better services for its members.
Teshale Belihu, State Minister of Trade and Regional Integration on his part said that the government has been implementing various measures to tame the rising inflation. He mentioned the Franco-Valuta imports of essential food commodities without foreign exchange permits as a major step to curb the inflation.
Adem Nur, Head of Addis Abeba Trade Bureau on his part recommends revision of the establishment proclamation of AACCSA to enable the Chamber discharging further responsibilities ahead.
