Adey New Year Exhibition, Bazaar opens

Addis Enkutatash New Year (Enkutatash) Exhibition and Bazaar has been opened on Saturday.

At least 500 businesses have signed up to display their products in the exhibition taking place at the Addis Abeba Exhibition Center.

Tilahun Tadesse, CEO of the Exhibition Center and Market Development Enterprise (ECMDE) said that exhibition and bazaars have a significant role of slashing inflation and connecting customers and businesses.

“The Center is organizing bazaars by its own to prevent the soaring rate of rents and entrance fees,” Tilahun said. He also called for the continuity of supports from Addis Chamber and city’s administration.

Mesenber Shenkutie, President of Addis Abeba Chmaber of Commerce and Sectoral Association (AACCSA) says for her part that exhibitions and bazaars will save time through connecting businesses and customers in a single location.

The event has been co-organized by AACCSA and ECMDE.

The exhibition will stay open for the next 22 days.
