Dashen Bank implements IBM Cloud Pak technology
Dashen Bank Share Company, one of the most profitable private banks in Ethiopia, said Thursday that it has implemented the first of its kind IBM Cloud Pak technology.
Dashen Bank is pioneering the industry in terms of importing state-of-the-art technologies to serve customers, Asfaw Alemu, CEO of Dashen said during tech launching program.
The program held at Dashen Bank’s Headquarter located around the financial district in Addis Abeba.
Frehiwot Tamiru, CEO of Ethio Telecom along with company’s senior officials attended the tech introduction program.
Asfaw recalled that Dashen launched Tier III Data Center, which makes the bank the first private financial institution in Ethiopia to have such facility.
He said: “The bank will continue its efforts of make technological advancements and the IBM Cloud Pak is part and parcel of this effort to intertwine its digital services.”
“The technology will expedite bank’s relation with any institution and it has also been implemented by taking the competition ahead into consideration,” he added.
Implementation of the tech will improve Bank’s operations with fintech service providers, according to Asfaw.
