A forum dubbed Entrepreneurial Forum for Peace and Development (EFPD) has officially launched its services on Monday.

EFPD has a focus on “Promoting Peace, Fostering Development”.

EEPD will exercise its functions across the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) region under the supervision of former Ethiopian officials.

The official service launching program has been held at Sheraton Addis Hotel with the presence of President Sahlework Zewdie, Mulatu Teshome (PhD), former President and Board Chairperson of EFPD, Binalf Andualem, and Minister of Peace, among others.

Former Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn is in charge of the Vice Board Chairperson’s post. Also, famous business moguls are members of the forum.

The forum has brought businesses and others implementers in IGAD countries together to promote peace and economic growth. It also aims to ease lack of peace and security across Ethiopia and other IGAD region members through a vanguard participation of the business community.

The forum has been established on October, 2021. Preparatory activities including finalizing the legal matters consumed eight months.
