City admin held lottery draw program for 25,491 condos
Addis Abeba City Administration has held a lottery draw program for 25,491 condo units, which will gradually be transferred to residents.
The condo units are constructed under the 20/80 and 40/60 housing schemes, according to a statement from Mayor Office of Addis Abeba.
In the 14th round lottery drawing for the 20/80 scheme, 27,195 residents registered in 2005 and saved up the 20% down payment until February 28, 2022 are eligible, according to Shimelis Tamirat, Director General of Addis Abeba Housing Development Corporation.
A total of 79,794 residents are registered for the official lottery draw, scheduled for July 8, 2022, according to a data from Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE).
The condominium housing lottery draw schedule has been held in the presence of Adanech Abiebie, Mayor of Addis Abeba, observers and technical experts at the headquarters of the Addis Abeba City Administration.
