Ministry adjusts fuel prices

The Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration (MoTRI) has revised the retail prices of petroleum products.

Effective July 6, 2022, 2022 to a liter of Benzene will cost 47.83 Birr at gas stations, up from 36.87 Birr.

The cost of light diesel oil has soared by 38 percent during the same period, reaching 49.02 Birr a liter from 35.43 Birr.

The price adjustment has been made based on the decision given by the Council of Ministers six months ago, the statement from MoTRI reads.

The Ministry’s latest petroleum products price hikes came after two months of price hike pause.
