Ethiopia, Germany sign €32 mln grant agreement

Ministry of Labor and Skills has signed a program agreement for 32 million Euro with the German Government through the German Development Bank (KfW).

Muferihat Kamil, Minister of Labor and Skills noted that the Ministry has been collaborating with various partners and stakeholders’. “Therefore significant achievements have been laid and further financial and technical support is being sought to accomplish the goals set for the sector”.

In addition, to achieve the new Technical and Vocational Digitization Program for the sector, ICT infrastructure equipment worth 500 million Birr have been handed over to 20 technical and vocational institutions.

Muferihat also held bilateral talks with Mr. Christoph Tiskens, the German Development Bank (KfW) Director for the African Union and East Africa.

Christoph Tiskens and his team have appreciated the transformation process in the sector and pledged to continue their support. Muferihat expressed gratitude to Germany’s Government and KFW for their continued support.
