New private airline joins market

The Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) has given a license for a new private airline named Air Express Africa PLC on Friday.

ECAA said that the license was issued after the company successfully completed the registration processes incorporate five phases of pre-application, formal application, Document evaluation and Inspection and finally Certification.

Getachew Mengistie, ECAA’s Director General awarded the license certificate to Nesru Kemal (Cap.), Founder and Owner of Air Express Africa PLC at the Headquarters of the Authority.

Mr. Getachew said on the occasion the new airline should understand that the aviation industry has lots of difficulties. He also wished Mr. Nesru a success ahead.

Captain Nesru has long years of experience as a pilot. He extended his gratitude to Authority’s inspectors for their commitment which resulted the success achieved from his side.

Including Air Express Africa PLC—which is the new entrant to the industry twelve air transport service providers have been registered by the Authority.
