Bureau reveals new public transport tariff rate
The Addis Abeba Transport Bureau (AATB) has announced that a new tariff has been set for public transportation, which will be effective starting from Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
AATB revealed Tuesday that tariffs have been revised in order with the global increase in oil prices.
Therefore, the tariff rates have been increased by an amount ranging 0.50 to 3.50 Birr. More specifically, increases have been manifested by 0.50 to 2.00 birr for mini-buses and 0.50-3.50 Birr.
People have been advised to inform the relevant authorities when encountering providers that charge more than the new transportation rates.
