Enat Bank opens its 100th branch in Arba Minch
Enat Bank Share Company has opened its 100th branch in Arba Minch town on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
Ermias Andargie, President of Enat Bank said during the inauguration that, “Enat has been striving to boost women’s role in the economy and envisions expanding and providing efficient services.”
He added: “To achieve the vision it has established banking department called Women Financial Services Department, which is playing a key role in promoting the Bank’s support for gender integration in all areas of the bank.”
Enat has also been exerting its effort to be accessible to customers through utilizing banking technologies, Ermias said.
Investing in women entrepreneurs is one of the means to drive economic growth through a contribution of 5% from annual dividend of shareholders, even without any collateral from the beneficiaries, according to Ermias.
The Bank has been facilitating capacity building activities by the Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC). The training by EDC aims to equip women entrepreneurs with financial literacy and business skills.
