East Africa Finance Summit to kick off tomorrow
The fifth edition of the East Africa Finance Summit is to be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) Conference Center in Addis Abeba.
This year’s summit is organized with the theme of “Reshaping the Future of Finance Sector in the Age of Disruption”, according to i-Capital Africa, which is the organizer of the annual summit.
The summit is co-hosted by Association of Ethiopian Insurers, Jimma University and Accounting Society of Ethiopia.
This year’s summit mainly focuses on the developments, trends, challenges in the financial sector of the largest market in East Africa – Ethiopia.
Gemechu Waktolla (PhD), Founder and CEO of i–Capital Africa, told Origins Media that surveys about financial sector policies and digital financing matters will be presented and panel discussions are also slated to be held.
Furthermore, global experts and stakeholders will participate in the summit. Awareness creation events about global financial conditions and other programs are part of the summit.
The organizers stated that the event “will facilitate unparalleled networking and business matching, providing a catalyst for investments partnerships, business growth, and development in propitious of the East African finance sector”.
