Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute and Oromia Bank agreed Friday to implement Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, which enable customers to perform financial transactions and enjoy real-time customer service from their mobile phones.
The agreement has been signed between Taye Lemma (PhD), Research and Development Head of the Institute and Teferi Mekonnen, CEO of Oromia Bank.
Taye said AI technologies will be implemented to modernize Oromia banks services.
The Bank has already launched AI powered Chatbot services.
Teferi on his part said that the agreement is useful to implement research and innovation based and technology relied banking services.
