Bunna Bank has officially inaugurated its new brand logo with brown and white colors on Wednesday.
The new brand has been registered by the Ethiopian Intellectual property Office (EIPO), said the Bank.
Bunna (Coffee) is Ethiopia’s brand with high social value.
A new brand logo was designed by Berry Advertising PLC. “The brand logo reflects motivation, bright tomorrow and vision,” Melaku Bahiru, General Manager of Berry Advertising told Medias.
The Bank has 1.8 million customers, 14,000 shareholders and 2,700 staffs.
Regarding a change of brand, Bunna’s Marketing and Communication Director Abayneh Habtie said BIB brand name was changed into Bunna Bank last year.
“Furthermore, before announcing the new brand logo the Bank has made a survey and other preparatory activities,” Abayneh said in a presser on Wednesday.
Opinions from customers, staff and other entities have been collected and assessment studies conducted accordingly, said Abayneh.
The finding of that study indicated that the previous brand logo was difficult to be remembered and understand, he said.
“The new brand has been crafted with a view to represent Bunna’s vision, mission and values,” said Abayneh, adding, “It’s easy to be used and remembered by customers.”
