MIDROC acquires King Air 360 aircraft
Midroc Investment Group (MIG) has celebrated a milestone with the addition of a US manufactured King Air 360 aircraft into the fleet of Trans Nation Airways PLC (TNA), one of its sister companies engaged in air transportation business.
The celebration which took place on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Bole International Airport marked a special moment for MIDROC as it acquires a rare aircraft with new features and navigational capabilities from the US manufacturer – Textron Beechcraft.
Briefed guests who attended the celebration, TNA General Manager Mr. Amir Abdulwahab said that “The newly delivered aircraft is a unique product which might be of the first owned by private operators in Africa.
The aircraft is special in its effectiveness and configuration alternatives, according to Mr. Amir.
The General Manager indicated the fuel efficient product can fly a non-stop for a long distance up to 2,690NM ( 4,982km) once it is fully fueled and it fly at an altitude up to 35,000 ft. (10,668 m) and a maximum cruise speed of 561km/hour.
He pointed out that the aircraft the Beechcraft KING AIR 360 turboprop aircraft offers flexible reconfigurable interiors with many options including for VIP purpose for 9 passengers or 13 passengers with non-VIP seats.
In addition, he said, it could be configured for cargo purpose with a capacity of transporting over 2000kg goods at a time or could be used as an air ambulance with built in passenger patient stretcher as well as other missions.
The addition of the modern aircraft into the fleet of TNA is believed to boost the effectiveness of the company’s service delivery to its customers.
The celebration of the delivery was attended by Mr. Jemal Ahmed, CEO of MIDROC Investment Group, senior management members of the group and other invited guests.
Trans Nation Airways (TNA) is a charter airline based in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. It was established in 2004, following receipt of a Business Operating Certificate from the Ministry of Trade and an Air Operator Certificate from the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority.
