Indonesia eyes Jimma to invest in tourism development

Officials of the Oromia Tourism Commission (OTC) led by the Deputy Commissioner and Delegates of the Embassy of Indonesia in Addis Abeba arrived in Jimma zone for two days official visits.

Following the first ever Tourism Hackathon program organized by OTC in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Addis Ababa to boost their ties.

Sharing of experiences regarding the tourism sector and assessing investment potentials in Jimma zone are among the purposes of the visit.

During the visit Nega Wedajo, DeputyCommissioner of Oromia Tourism and Al Busyra Basnur, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Ethiopia will meet officials from the city administration including mayor of the city, Jimma University president, zonal administrators and Officials from zone’s culture and tourism office in addition to paying a visit to major tourist attraction areas of the zone.
